2016 Team Ontario lacrosse dominated the National Championships this year, with the help of some of our Nepean Knights.

Team Ontario Bantam Girls, with the help of Knights Hailey Gibbons and Kayle Smith Osborne, completed the tournament with a 6-1 record and a gold medal.  Hailey had a great tournament, scoring 2 points along the way. Kayle was the teams leading scorer, with an astounding 19 points during the tournament.

The Midget Girls team went 5-2 to win gold, with our own Brianna Rino seeing 300 minutes of game play and a shut out against team Nova Scotia and Hunter Gibbons proving to be a force to be reckoned with.

Cole Bowditch and Willem Firth were part of gold medal winning Pee Wee Team Ontario that continually impressed teams from across the country, going undefeated during the tournament with the help of assistant coach Matt Firth.

The Bantam boys team brought home gold as well, going undefeated with our own Will Johnston seeing only seven goals against in his four games of the tournament. Will also had a shut out against team First Nations.

Congrats to Hailey, Kayle, Hunter, Brianna, Cole, Willem, Will and Coach Matt. We are so proud of all of your hard work and dedication, and for showing the country what great lacrosse players we have here in Nepean!
